The council approved a three‑item consent calendar on Jan. 6, 2025.
Items included approval of the Dec. 2 meeting minutes (two members noted recusals for that sub‑item), appointment of council liaisons for the upcoming year, and authorization for the city administrator to execute a five‑year agreement for full business‑license tax administration with HDL in an amount not to exceed $190,000. Vice Mayor McCarthy moved approval; the council conducted a roll‑call and the consent calendar passed.
Council members were given the opportunity to pull items for discussion; none were pulled. The mayor thanked staff and liaisons for their service and noted the importance of the extra workload council members take on serving regional bodies.
