Jackson County and Makanda Township request use of B.C. Ross Community Center for elections and meetings

Ross Community Center for the March 17, 2026 primary election and the Nov. 3, 2026 general election. The request was entered under petitions and communications and will require usual facility scheduling and any required certificates of insurance.
Makanda Township Supervisor Mike Holub contacted the board to request use of the same facility for township meetings on March 10 and April 16. Holub also noted the township's annual town meeting will be held April 14 at Giant City School and that the township will supply a certificate of insurance for the requested community-center dates.
