The Board of Commissioners approved Resolution 2026-23-CM, which affirms the Plan Commission order creating a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district covering sub-areas of the Reserve at Millbrook Phase I and Phase II allocation areas. Attorney Doug Masson explained the resolution and said adoption would move the plan back to the Redevelopment Commission for further action.
Commissioner Thomas P. Murtaugh noted that bonds will be issued to developers for commercially developed parcels and that a larger TIF area is intended to capture revenue to help fund infrastructure in a rapidly growing area. Murtaugh moved to approve Resolution 2026-23-CM; President Brown seconded and the motion carried.
