Commissioners approve vacation of two undeveloped streets in West Point

Pat Cunningham of Vester and Associates described the circumstances leading to the petition: a garage had been removed from a property owned by Anne Lemley and "she want to put a new garage back" but "found out, the street need to be vacated." Cunningham asked for the vacation and the commissioners proceeded with the first-reading approval. County staff said the ordinance will return for a second reading in two weeks.
The action pertains to undeveloped platted rights-of-way; staff noted utilities and adjacent owners had been notified and no formal objections were recorded in the hearing.
