Attorney Doug Masson opened the hearing and Building Commissioner Bill Robinette described photographic evidence of deterioration that led staff to seek the order; Commissioner Thomas P. Murtaugh moved to affirm the order and President Tracy A. Brown seconded. The motion carried.
Bill Robinette, the Building Commissioner, told the board that photographs taken by his office “revealed the condition of the property” and that “the order was necessary due to further deterioration of the original home before a second story structure was constructed.” Masson said he would draft the formal record of the affirmation so affected parties would have the statutory period to file an appeal. The property owner, Graciela Serrano, and mortgage lender NewRez LLC were notified by certified mail, according to the Building Commissioner. The county record will note the affirmed order and start the appeal clock.
