Union City Borough announced it has secured a combined $264,000 in grants for continuing improvements to the first floor of the City Building. Borough Manager Cindy Wells told council the grants include $75,000 from the ECGRA Anchor Building Grant, $35,000 through the Helping Today Grant (ECF), and $154,000 from the Community Project Fund obtained through Rep. Mike Kelly's office.
Wells said the funds will be used for ongoing improvements to the first floor; the council did not vote on a specific construction contract at the meeting but accepted the report and directed staff to proceed with project planning and necessary approvals.
