The Tell City Common Council accepted and approved a uniform conflict‑of‑interest disclosure for a street‑department employee who proposed selling equipment to the city.
Clerk Treasurer Connie explained the disclosure is the same form used annually to report employees’ outside-business activities and that it must be filed with the county clerk and the State Board of Accounts. She identified the employee by first name and then full name in the record: Lance Galindo, an existing city employee who also operates a side business and offered to sell a trailer and an asphalt compactor to the street department for use on pothole work. The council voted to accept and file the disclosure by voice vote.
Clerk said the process mirrors prior disclosures for employees with side businesses and that the form would be filed with county and state authorities as required.
