Residents urge council to study rent stabilization as development accelerates

Jesse, executive director of Norwalk Unides representing the Norwalk Tenants Union, called on the council to pass rent control (advocacy ongoing since 2023) and to enforce smoke-free multifamily housing at Bell Court Apartments, saying the council’s inaction has already contributed to displacement. "Please, let's not wait another 3 years, and let's get rent control passed soon," he said.
