Parents and neighborhood members urge preservation of Bolton Primary School

During the public‑comment portion of the West Linn Historic Review Board meeting, Amanda Brookshire described long family ties to Bolton and urged the board to support the nomination to protect the school's community role.
"My family's been here. They moved from Oregon City in 1878 to Bolton," Brookshire said, recounting her grandfather's role in early Bolton school efforts and saying the school functions as a neighborhood centerpiece. She identified herself as a paraeducator who works across local schools and as a member of the Bolton Neighborhood Association.
Board members acknowledged the public comment as they considered the nomination. The board then proceeded to evaluate the nomination's technical criteria and unanimously recommended forwarding the nomination for state review.
