Union City Council approves routine agenda items, grant allocations and contracts

The Union City Borough Council handled a series of routine motions and formal approvals at its Aug. 27 meeting, passing each by unanimous vote.
Council approved the meeting agenda and minutes from Aug. 13, 2024, accepted the secretary’s report, and authorized payment of unpaid bills. Several substantive items were also approved: a motion to remove a $2,690 lien on 121 East High Street (Landbank property); acceptance of a $16,679 quote for a canoe/kayak launch pending an easement; approval of seven Renaissance Grant applications requesting $23,600 (project totals $60,606); and a resolution accepting the Erie Area Council of Governments (EACOG) audit. The meeting adjourned at 6:19 p.m.
