Trustees vote to take no action after Carrus declines revised settlement

The Bristow Hospital Authority voted on Dec. 15 to take no action on agenda item #5, a proposed Settlement Agreement and Release with Carrus Lakeside Hospital, LLC related to the Hospital Development Agreement.
Authority attorney Beth Anne Childs informed trustees that "Carrus Representatives have declined the offer and would not send a revision," and counsel advised the board accordingly. Following that update, Trustee Jeff Roberts moved to take no action on the item and Trustee Judd Johns seconded. A roll-call vote recorded Church, Deshazo, Groom, Johns, Roberts and Witty voting Aye and the motion passed.
The item was listed as "Consideration, discussion, and possible action regarding a Settlement Agreement and Release with Carrus Lakeside Hospital, LLC, regarding the Hospital Development Agreement, as amended by and between Carrus and the Bristow Hospital Authority." The board’s decision to take no action leaves the existing status of the development agreement unchanged as of the Dec. 15 meeting.
