Odessa hires three junior-high coaches as spring season begins

On a 5-0 vote the board approved Abby Lindberg as junior-high girls softball coach (motion by Zach Schafer, second by Sheena Starkel), Joshua Clark as junior-high track coach (motion by Sheena Starkel, second by Zach Schafer) and Ryan Scheib as junior-high baseball coach (motion by Janie Steward, second by Sheena Starkel).
Athletic Director Cori Kane reported participation counts: junior-high softball has 19 athletes, junior-high baseball 17 athletes, and junior-high track 12 athletes. The minutes note Wilson Creek will provide a junior-high assistant softball coach. The approvals were routine personnel actions recorded in the consent and action portions of the meeting.
