Superintendent Steve Fisk told the board the Bi-County Superintendent group plans to speak with legislators on Feb. 17 to press for increased support for special education, Maintenance, Supplies & Operations (MSOC) and transportation funding. Fisk said the district has increased past the threshold for Special Education funding, though no dollar figure was provided in the minutes.
Fisk also reported he is pursuing competitive funding opportunities, including a Perkins Grant and an Ag West Grant intended to support a Drone CTE program. The presentation was informational; the board did not take formal action on the grants at this meeting.
