Principal outlines testing schedule and reading intervention plans

Principal Cori Kane updated the board on assessment and reading-instruction items. Kane said she will meet with NEWESD101 representatives (Katie Douglas, Kimberly Ryan and Connie Kliewer) to discuss the district's 504-referral process and is working to incorporate UFLI reading instruction into elementary daily schedules.
Kane also laid out upcoming assessment dates: MAP testing at the high school is scheduled for Jan. 13–17, and elementary RAN/RAS testing is scheduled for Jan. 21–24. The MTSS team will develop a plan to embed Tier 2 instruction in teacher plans and consider how assessment results drive instruction.
