Odessa School Board elects Crossley chair, approves committee assignments

The Odessa School District Board of Directors reorganized its leadership at the Dec. 18 regular meeting, electing Chris Crossley as board chairman and Carmen Weishaar as vice chairman in unanimous roll-call votes. Superintendent Steve Fisk opened nominations; the elections were recorded as 5-0 for each office.
After the officer elections, Chairman Crossley made committee appointments for the coming term. The board approved the slate—Facilities: Zach Schafer and Carmen Weishaar; Curriculum: Janie Steward and Carmen Weishaar; Negotiations: Carmen Weishaar and Chris Crossley with Zach Schafer as alternate—by roll call, 5-0. The board recorded its action formally: "A roll call vote was taken and all committee positions were approved by a vote of 5 - 0."
