The Fayetteville Planning Board reviewed a proposal from Sarah Green to open Little Roots, a pediatric occupational therapy practice in the former Velvet Boutique suite. Mark Lantrue of Carlton Management introduced Green to the board and described the location; Green said the clinic will focus on one-on-one pediatric occupational therapy and offer occasional movement classes.
"So, it's pediatric occupational therapy," Sarah Green said, describing services for infants through middle-school-age children. She told the board she currently treats families out of a Selma facility two days a week, is fully booked with a wait list, and needs a dedicated Fayetteville location to expand access. "So all my pediatric therapy is one on one treatments with the kid in the family," she said.
Green said planned hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with families scheduling sessions at times that work for them. The board approved the related site plan and sign permit, allowing Green to proceed with interior modifications and sign installation.
Next steps include coordination on final construction details and sign artwork; staff will circulate permit conditions and updated minutes to the applicant and board members.
