During public comment, residents voiced opposition to any reduction in Shelburne dispatch services and urged the Selectboard to hold a public conversation before taking steps to reduce the department. Linda Riell said she "is in support of Shelburne dispatch and does not support the reduction of the department." Sean Moran encouraged the board to provide opportunities for public discussion on the issue.
Selectboard Vice-Chair Luce Hillman responded that staff will bring more information forward and that the board will schedule public discussions once additional details are available.
