Sevier County Beer Board approves on-premise permit for Appalachian Renaissance Faire

At its April 13, 2026 meeting, the Sevier County Beer Board unanimously granted an on-premise special-event permit for the Appalachian Renaissance Faire of Tennessee, scheduled for April 18–19, 2026, at 722 E Dumplin Valley Road in Kodak.
Catherine Lewis, representing the event, told the board that last year’s gathering "went really well" and that all vendors are approved and certified for sales. She said organizers are coordinating with the sheriff’s office to have off‑duty officers provide security during the event.
Dale Hill moved to approve consideration of the on‑premise permit and Greg Houk seconded. The board recorded a unanimous vote in favor; six members were present and the motion passed.
The approval allows alcohol sales under the county’s permit regime for the two-day event pending compliance with any permit conditions and vendor certification requirements the board enforces.
