The MSD of New Durham Township School Board approved a package of resignations and recommended hires during its Aug. 14, 2024, meeting. The personnel list filed with the board included teacher and extracurricular resignations and multiple recommended appointments; the board approved the packet by motion and carried vote.
The packet named Afriyie Daniels-Dudley (MS ELA teacher) and several coaching and support staff among resignations, and included recommended hires and reassignments: Stacey Glanz as CTE department head; Julia Michelbrink as MS ELA teacher; Krista Tuholski and Timothy Slatton as 5th-grade teachers/representatives; Teresa Detering as Elementary Principal; Deborah Armstrong as student council sponsor; and others. The minutes list Brian Ton under resignations (Elementary Principal) and also list him in the recommendations as Acting Superintendent in the same personnel section. The board approved the resignations and recommendations after a motion by Mark Parkman and a second from Karen Jedrysek; the motion carried.
The minutes do not record debate or roll-call vote tallies for the personnel motion; they report the motion and that it "carried." Several subsequent agenda items (position updates, professional leave, and donations) were then considered.
