The ISD 2071 School Board unanimously approved a consent agenda at its Sept. 15 regular meeting that included donations, personnel actions, minutes and the district's bills.
Board members accepted donations including a $2,000 memorial gift for Les Norman (itemized donors totaling $2,000) and a $40 gift from Afton Gross for Karla Caldwell's classroom. The board also accepted resignations from JoAnna Pluym (elementary special education teacher, effective Aug. 14, 2025), Amy Benson (paraprofessional, effective immediately) and Gail Graupman (prom advisor, effective immediately). "Motion by Rose, second by Leiding to approve the consent agenda with addendum" was recorded and the motion carried unanimously.
The board approved hires listed in the consent agenda: Doreen Oelke as an English Language Teacher (.3 FTE) beginning Aug. 26, 2025; Scott Jones as an evening custodian beginning Sept. 22, 2025; and Tyler Pasquale as a paraprofessional beginning Sept. 17, 2025. The board also approved the minutes of the Aug. 18 and Aug. 27, 2025 meetings and authorized payment of bills totaling $713,156.77 and wire transfers of $135,996.15.
Action items and personnel changes were recorded as part of the formal consent motion; no separate debate or roll-call votes beyond the unanimous approvals were recorded in the minutes.
