Aaron DeNamur, Town Planner, presented the preliminary Falls Road design that would remake the corridor from Church Street to the Harbor Road intersection using an initial $40,000 gift from the O’Brien brothers.
DeNamur said the proposal emphasizes walkable spaces and aesthetics — including brick‑paved sidewalks, street lighting, landscaping — with water main improvements coordinated to reduce future disruption. He told the committee he and Town Manager Matt Lawless will assemble a project working group of committee members and community volunteers and begin drafting a request for proposals for design services. DeNamur also noted the project may be able to secure additional funding in the next budget cycle.
