Superintendent Wade Johnson told the board that several bills recently passed or moving through the legislature could reduce funding for some special education areas and create uncertainty about state reimbursement for unemployment costs. He asked for a board member to assist with diploma distribution at graduation and said Eric Ristad volunteered to help.
Johnson also outlined planned summer facility work: targeted roof repairs, refinishing both gym floors and refinishing the north locker room floors. He said a small adjustment to next year’s schedule is possible pending teacher approval. The board approved administrative items later in the meeting as recorded.
