Superintendent recommends staff changes; board votes to sunset Dean of Students position

Superintendent Ludvigson presented a set of budget-streamlining recommendations to the board on April 20. Recommendations included phasing out the Instructional Coach position and adding a special education teacher, converting two WIN teachers to ESL positions, letting the Dean of Students position lapse, and combining National Honor Society and Student Council duties with the Activities Director.
The board approved a motion by Zastrow, seconded by Wright, to sunset the Dean of Students position at the end of the 2025–26 school year; the motion carried unanimously. The minutes note Chromebooks will return to the tech department and that the district will further examine facility rental agreements and coding changes for revenue at a May work session.
