Rich Ragatz of Ideal Energy presented the district's solar panel grant application, which the minutes note is in the beginning stages. Board member Zahnow moved to authorize Ideal Energy to continue with the grant process; Hollenkamp seconded the motion.
A roll-call vote carried 5–2. The minutes show Zastrow, Hollenkamp, Zahnow, Gohman and Wolf voted yes; Levin and Wright voted no. The board took no further action on contracts or funding at the April 20 meeting; the presentation and authorization allow district staff and Ideal Energy to proceed with the grant application process.
