Students, guests outline plans as Long Prairie-Grey Eagle to host Unified Special Olympics May 6

The Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School Board heard a presentation on April 20 that the district will host the Unified Special Olympics Track and Field event on May 6, 2026. Guest speaker Kaylie Waldvogel, joined by students Tori Kleinschmidt and Emily Draxten, described event-planning and student involvement.
Tori and Emily also reported that Student Council has elected new officers and that council members will help at the elementary Color Run on May 8, 2026. The presentation noted logistical support from school staff and student volunteers; no formal board action was required.
