Board renews MSHSL membership, accepts several community donations

The Litchfield Public School District board on June 22 approved renewal of its Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) membership for the 2026–27 school year. The resolution passed on a roll call vote with Marcia Provencher, Tim Oster, Stephanie Danielson, Darrin Anderson and Alex Carlson voting Aye; Greg Mathews was absent.
The board also passed a resolution accepting several donations: $459.50 from VFW for Litchfield Middle School 8th Grade English; $5,000 from Youth Baseball Association for the Litchfield High School baseball program; $3,974.70 from the FFA Alumni Association for the FFA state convention; $500 from Litchfield Golf & Community Partners for Lake Ripley Elementary Jumpstart Program; and $1,200 each from Litchfield Golf & Community Partners for girls' and boys' golf hitting mats. The donations resolution passed on the same roll call (Aye votes recorded for the five attending members).
