FFA greenhouse, plant sale and student activities highlighted at Stony Creek board meeting

At the Oct. 22 board meeting, Mrs. Farrell told the board the school greenhouse is almost full and announced a student plant sale scheduled for Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as part of an SAE project. She reported that ten students received jackets through the Blue Jacket Bonanza program and described student participation in state FFA events including the Greenhand Conference and opening and closing ceremonies competition.
High school ASB president Kaleb Reagan highlighted recent student activities — including the pig feed and the clay trap team — and noted the middle school volleyball team finished an undefeated season. Reagan recommended the district begin advertising a possible four-day school week now to help attract new students and said he will continue to bring student feedback to the board.
Superintendent Emily Pendell commended the student report and provided updates on district technology projects: the network switch project is complete and a new phone system is being installed.
