Superintendent/Principal Emily Pendell told the board that, with the help of GCOE, district aides attended Active Supervision training and that Ms. Voght’s 3rd/4th grade class attended a performance of "The Christmas Carol" at Laxson Auditorium in Chico. Pendell reported that ECHS FFA held a volleyball tournament fundraiser that drew strong community support, the ECE Christmas program and senior presentations were successful, and College Career Day expanded with on‑site vendors.
Pendell also said Mrs. Farrell’s CTE class will shift next semester from the current Edynamic curriculum to a science food pathway in which students will grow produce and eventually sell products; the change is expected to be supported by the Golden State Pathways Grant. The district is awaiting blueprints from the California Dept. of Architecture for Indian Valley School and is applying for a SASI grant to support campus building repairs.
