Council approves several routine measures including middle housing standards and Hamilton Drive rezoning

Council took several policy actions during its Aug. 3 meeting. After a second reading, members approved a text amendment updating middle housing standards; staff said there were no changes since the prior reading. Council also approved a map amendment on Hamilton Drive, rezoning a small parcel from multifamily to light industrial to allow a small-engine repair/security business, and granted a Holiday East neighborhood request to install 26 linear feet of wood picket fence within the ROW with an approval letter that ties maintenance responsibility to the property.
All three measures were moved, seconded and approved by council (voice or hand-raise procedures). Staff noted follow-up steps, including execution of authorization letters for the Holiday East fence and standard implementation tasks for middle housing and the Hamilton Drive rezoning.
