Cambria trustees approve routine minutes, disbursements, donations, insurance and equipment agreements

At their Oct. 7 meeting the trustees approved minutes and routine financial items, authorized disbursements, approved a $200 donation to the Carterville Lions Club, renewed Principal Life Insurance for full‑time employees, and authorized equipment and maintenance agreements for the Water Department.
The Village of Cambria board handled a set of routine administrative and budget items at its Oct. 7 meeting.
Trustee Mike Ren moved to approve the Sept. 2, 2025 minutes and Trustee Mark Phillips seconded; the motion passed by roll call. Trustees authorized the disbursements listed on the agenda after a motion from Trustee Robin McFarlin and a second from Trustee Suzzette Coffey. The board approved a $200 donation to the Carterville Lions Club for its Free Fair Celebration and approved the 2025/2026 renewal of Principal Life Insurance coverage for full‑time employees.
Trustees also approved a five‑year agreement with GFI for two Water Department printers and a three‑year maintenance agreement for the lagoon Solar Bees with IXOM Water care. The board voted to purchase Halloween candy for the Police and Fire departments to distribute to children during upcoming events. All motions in this group were approved by recorded roll‑call votes with the trustees present voting in favor unless otherwise noted in the minutes.
