Floodwood board to leave vacancy to November special election; appoints Pete Kramer treasurer

Chair Leanaya Miller called the Floodwood School Board to order at 6:00 p.m. on June 29. After discussion the board agreed the open school board seat will be filled through the special election scheduled for November 2026 rather than by appointment at this time.
Trustee Pete Kramer was appointed school board treasurer for the remainder of 2026 in a motion by Chair Leanaya Miller, seconded by Kellee Young; the motion carried by unanimous voice vote. The board subsequently approved resolutions establishing filing dates, absentee voting designations, and calling the November 2026 general and special elections; those resolutions also passed by unanimous voice votes.
