The Village of Carbon Hill Board of Trustees approved the minutes from the Aug. 12, 2025 regular meeting and the Sept. 2, 2025 Treasurer's Report early in the Sept. 2 meeting. Trustee Charlie Shain moved to approve the minutes; Trustee Laura Emling seconded. The motion carried with four ayes and one absent trustee, Nicole Shain.
Later business included four formal votes. The board unanimously approved building permit BP-2025-07 for an accessory garage at 575 Rathburn St.; Trustee Charlie Shain moved the motion and Trustee Lori Togliatti seconded. The board also authorized purchase of a laser printer for Village Hall up to $1,200, subject to a lease assessment; Trustee Nicole Shain moved and Trustee Charlie Shain seconded. All three motions that occurred after Trustee Nicole Shain's arrival carried with five ayes, 0 nays and 0 abstentions.
