The Minnewaska Area Schools Board approved a consent calendar on Oct. 21 that added a set of new staff and formalized several employment status changes and resignations. Notable hires on the consent calendar included Jennifer Anderson (Paraprofessional, Grade 5 Step 3, effective 10/21/2024), Bill Mills (Secondary Education Teacher, MA Step 2, effective 09/03/2024) and several school-age child care assistants; the consent calendar also recorded resignations including Sharon Blomgren (Food Service Cook, effective 09/24/2024) and Patricia Holder (Paraprofessional, effective 09/27/2024).
The board moved to approve the consent calendar on a motion by Ogdahl, seconded by Lagred; roll call vote was recorded as ayes by Barsness, T. Reichmann, A. Reichmann, Ogdahl, Lagred and Zavadil. The consent calendar also included a change-of-status for Kyle Murken (an additional $1.00/hour for MARSS duties, effective 07/01/2024).
