Board approves nine campus safety plans after law‑enforcement and county review

The Sulphur Springs Union School District Governing Board approved nine Comprehensive School Safety Plans at its March 12 meeting after a staff presentation on requirements and local data used to develop the plans.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jay Greenlinger introduced Dr. Eric Guerrero, who told trustees the plans were developed with training from the Los Angeles County Office of Education, consultation with principals and local law enforcement, and analysis of suspension rates, behavior referrals, attendance and local crime data. The board approved the plans by a 5–0 voice vote.
Dr. Greenlinger thanked Dr. Guerrero and campus principals for collaboration in preparing the plans. Trustees did not identify specific new expenditures or operational changes tied to approval at the meeting; staff will continue to coordinate training and implementation.
