Board approves second readings of multiple policies including transportation and crisis management

General Counsel Amy Moore told the board the proposed policy changes posted since the May 20 first reading received no public comments. The board considered the second reading of a package of policies covering transportation (Policy 707), school attendance boundaries (Policy 725), closing schools (Policy 727), crisis management (Policy 806), health and safety (Policy 807), and policies in the 900 series including web publishing and possession of dangerous weapons.
Moore said the policies remain as presented at first reading; after brief comments from board members reminding colleagues that materials and prior recordings are available for review, the board voted to approve the second reading as a single motion. Roll call recorded six ayes and zero nays.
