At its March 23 meeting the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Board of Education approved a multi-item consent agenda covering personnel actions, leaves and coaching assignments. The consent agenda passed on a motion by Jon Bakken, seconded by Gary Michael.
The minutes record the following personnel items: Kristine Short hired as a long-term substitute high school special education teacher; the resignation of Harold Nielsen as 1st assistant track and field coach, effective March 4, 2026; Community Ed/Summer SACC hires Raelyn Eich and Isabelle Bauer at $11.54 per hour; approved Family Medical Leave for Haley Bleess from August 31–November 23, 2026 and for Carrie Brown from March 19–May 29, 2026; and approval for custodian Terry Whitaker to move from full-time to part-time hours effective June 1, 2026. The board also approved the list of 2025–2026 spring coaches, including paid stipends for several assistant and junior-high coaches.
