City project manager recommends $107,239 replacement for failing salt shed; Board approves

Project manager Cook told the Board of Works that the existing salt shed is in poor condition and recommended replacing it with a new 60-foot by 32-foot salt storage shed while retaining the existing concrete foundations.
"This is for the, salt existing shed and replace it with a new 60 foot by 32 foot, salt storage shed," Cook said, and recommended awarding the work to CHC under Sourcewell pricing for a total of $107,239. Cook said the cost is planned to be funded from the building maintenance capital line (25710004450). The board asked for confirmation about funding and whether the figure was a not-to-exceed amount; staff replied that it was.
Mayor Kelly Milan called for a motion and the board approved the CHC recommendation. The board did not record individual named votes in the transcript; the chair announced the motion carried.
