"On the 6th, hopefully, we can post the rate to the website ... August 7, if there's any grievances ... that's the drop dead date," the judge said while briefing the schedule.
Commissioners approved accepting the proposed budget by motion and voice vote. The court separately set a public hearing date of Aug. 25, 2026, for final adoption after the hearing. The auditor then presented routine line-item transfers, budget amendments (primarily road-bond and county-road expenditures), and accounts-payable claims (including juror payments and payroll); each item was approved by motion and voice vote.
