The Robbinsdale Area Schools board reviewed the Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 recommendations and authorized Nexus to submit the district's review-and-comment to the Minnesota Department of Education at the June 15 meeting. Superintendent Dr. Teri Staloch, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Bob McDowell, and Chief Financial Officer Kristen Hoheisel reviewed the proposed ballot-question materials and recommended options for board consideration.
Trustee Evans-Becker moved to authorize Nexus to submit the review-and-comment with the condition that questions 2 and 3 be contingent on question 1; Trustee Bowman seconded. The motion passed on a roll call: Bowman, Brynteson, Evans-Becker, Hillenbrand and Wutoh voted in favor; Long voted against; Bassett abstained. The board recorded the motion as prevailing with a 5–1–1 vote.
The board's action forwards the district's materials to the Minnesota Department of Education for review; the board recorded the conditional nature of questions 2 and 3 in its motion. Staff will proceed with submission to the state consistent with the board's direction.
