Director of Student Services Denise Wright presented the recommended edits and explained the district works closely with families and provides nursing assistance when needed. Vice Chair Pam Shields moved to adopt the policy; Director Claudia Andrews seconded. The motion passed with four ayes (Shields, Solowski, Linn, Andrews) and two nays (Hardin, Mohring).
Board members discussed the policy in the context of district practices and student support. The vote represents a formal adoption after first reading and will be applied according to district procedures.
