District leaders highlighted several program investments in the proposed 2026-2027 budget intended to support students and instruction. The budget includes a contracted Behavioral Support Specialist funded through Title dollars, continuation and expansion of high-dose tutoring for K-3 supported by the Early Literacy Grant and CLSD Grant, EL Achieve/Constructing Meaning coaching and professional development, a new high school Hospitality and Tourism career and technical education program, and the addition of a high school graduation coach.
Presenters said these program choices reflect prioritized student-facing services even as the district absorbs position reductions through attrition; the district is targeting resources to early literacy, behavioral supports, and career pathways while holding building discretionary funds status quo.
