Budget committee sets permanent tax rate at $3.2494 per $1,000

The Brookings-Harbor SD 17C Budget Committee voted unanimously to impose a permanent ad valorem tax rate of $3.2494 per $1,000 of assessed value to support the General Fund. Nathan Hanscam moved that the "permanent tax rate of $3.2494 per $1,000 value be levied in support of the General Fund," and Kelsey Bozeman seconded; the motion passed 10-0.
Committee members recorded their votes and the levy will be included with the approved budget materials forwarded to the Board of Directors for the public hearing and adoption process.
