The Brookings-Harbor School District 17C Board adopted its fiscal year 2026–2027 budget, approving a total budget of $31,758,823 and imposing a permanent ad valorem property tax rate of $3.2494 per $1,000 of assessed value. Janece Payne moved to approve Resolution No. 2026-003, and Trish Walker seconded; the motion passed 3–0.
The resolution set total appropriations for all funds at $28,127,270 with $3,631,553 listed as unappropriated and reserved. General Fund appropriations totaled $19,471,227 (including $9,602,053 for instruction and $8,857,174 for support services); Special Revenue Fund appropriations totaled $6,913,845; Debt Service and Capital Projects funds were set at $250,000 and $1,492,198 respectively. The Board had opened and closed a budget hearing earlier in the meeting under the requirements of ORS 294.453; no public comment was received. The district stated the budget is on file at 629 Easy Street in Brookings.
