Board approves lease, $700K renovation plan for new Carbondale ESD 95 district office

The Carbondale Elementary School District No. 95 Board on July 24 approved a lease with Premier Property Management and Development, LLC to relocate the district office to 216 E. Main St.
Chief School Business Official Janiece Blake and Superintendent Janice Pavelonis told the board the base lease is $7,000 per month for seven years with a possible buyout after four years. The proposed lease now includes renovation costs estimated at roughly $700,000; the district would spread those renovation costs over 10 years to manage cash flow. The board approved the lease by unanimous roll call vote.
