Board names Amanda Parsons assistant principal and honors nine retirees

The Board approved Personnel Action Report #25-09 and introduced Amanda Parsons as the incoming Assistant Principal at Pinetree Community School for the 2025–26 school year. Parsons, who has worked in the district since 2000 and served as Learning Support Teacher at Leona Cox since 2021, said she was grateful for the opportunity.
Trustees also approved retirement resolutions R-25-15 through R-25-23 recognizing nine employees: Carol Malcolm, Glenn Endo, Jan La Joice, Laura Johnson, Lori Thompson, Vicki Hamilton, Yvette Carmichael, Manuel Lopez and Anette Aiken. Each retiree received a resolution plaque, a flower bouquet and certificates from city and state representatives as recorded in the minutes.
