The Sulphur Springs Union School District Board on May 28 approved two memoranda of understanding with the Sulphur Springs District Teachers Association.
Deputy Superintendent Dr. Joshua Randall presented the MOU that authorizes a retention bonus aimed at supporting Mild/Moderate Special Education teacher retention. The Board approved the MOU by unanimous voice vote. Randall then presented a separate MOU addressing Music Teachers' roles and responsibilities for the 2025–26 school year; trustees approved that agreement 5-0 as well.
The minutes record board approval but do not disclose bonus amounts, eligibility criteria, or specific changes to music-teacher working conditions; implementation details will be handled through Human Resources and the teachers association.
