The Sulphur Springs Union School District Board voted unanimously on May 28 to adopt ARIS and Attainment as the developmental curriculum for Preschool through 6th grade students in the Extensive Support Needs (ESN) program.
Assistant Superintendent Julie McBride described the year-long pilot during which Educational Services administrators and teachers evaluated the programs for alignment with state-approved standards and developmental appropriateness across mathematics, language and literacy, social-emotional learning and physical development. The Board approved the adoption 5-0 to implement the curricula beginning in the 2025–2026 school year.
The approval directs Educational Services to implement the curricula across ESN classrooms and coordinate training and materials procurement; the minutes do not list procurement costs or specific training dates.
