The Carbondale Elementary School District No. 95 Board of Education voted April 24 to approve a three‑year contract renewal with Robinson Transport for $393,748.00.
The renewal was moved by Board Member Imani McHenry and seconded by Dr. Renada Greer; the roll-call vote was yes from President Catherine Field, Mr. Corey Cawthon, Dr. Greer and Ms. McHenry, with member Wigfall recorded as absent. The motion passed. Janiece Blake, Chief School Business Official, had presented the renewal terms to the Building and Transportation Committee, describing the proposal as “for 3 years at a 3.95% increase each year.”
Blake told the committee the percentage increases had been valued at roughly $393,750 over three years in her analysis and that the proposed terms were consistent with other local districts; the final contract motion listed the total as $393,748.00. The board recorded the approval after committee review of fund balances and projected costs.
Board members did not amend the terms during the meeting and no additional conditions were tied to the approval. The district said the renewal will proceed under the contract amount approved by the board.
