Director of Student Services Denise Wright presented recommended changes to policy JHCA/JHCB (Immunizations and School Sports Participation), explaining the updates respond to recent legislative requirements that call for written health plans for students.
After Wright summarized the proposed changes, Director Ronald "Jess" Hardin moved to approve the policy as presented and Director Melissa Standley seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The board did not record additional amendments to the policy during the meeting.
The district will publish the updated policy according to its policy adoption procedures and implement any procedural changes required to comply with the new legislative health-plan requirement.
