Superintendent James Owens reported on district activities and external engagements at the Dec. 11 meeting, listing the District Equity Leadership Team, District Equity Committee and a Fall Data Summit among internal workstreams. He said district leadership has met with the City of Gresham (Mayor Stovall) and is tracking the governor's newly proposed budget and East County Legislative Agenda for 2025.
Owens provided a handout outlining the East County Legislative Agenda for 2025 and said the district has met with state legislators. He also announced community forums focused on the 'Profile of a Graduate' beginning in January and said more information will be shared with the community as planning progresses.
